Weekly on Wednesday afternoon 1 - 3 pm at FCC in the K-Hall

Dates - Starting Sept 11, 2019

The Knitting Tea Party is continuing this fall to prepare winter apparel for the homeless in Victoria. We meet weekly on Wednesdays at FCC in the Kratofil hall at 1:00 p.m. Our focus is to knit or crochet Scarves, Hats and Mittens to be donated to those in need. We supply to the Salvation Army, the Sandy Merriaman Women's Shelter as many sets of apparel as we can produce. We also supply seniors facilities here on the Peninsula with lap blankets for their residents. And we knit up new born baby sweaters and hats for distribution in the Dominican Republic through House on the Rock Mission trips by our FCC Youth Group.

We use primarily donated yarn, preferably acrylic, and keep our supply here at the church. We also provide instruction for new knitters. A Thursday evening in Sidney has been set up for added instruction if required.

We are pleased to welcome visitors to our meetings, asking only that if yarn and needles are used, the finished items will be added to our accumulation of warm items for our annual OUTREACH to the homeless in Victoria, our seniors in local facilities and the DR Mission trips."
