FCC CORE VALUES

"Learning to be the people Jesus calls us to be, so we can do the things Jesus calls us to do."

Our vision was born out of the Great Commandment given in Mark 12:30-31, and the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20.

When asked which command was the most important, “Jesus answered, “The most important is Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these.” Mark 12:29–31 (CSB)

Then, before His ascension Jesus commissions His followers with these words, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..." Matthew 28:19-20

WORSHIP
1ST VALUE

Our number one purpose is to Worship the Lord. Period. We actively love the Lord by submitting our entire lives and beings to Him. Heart, soul, mind and strength, every aspect of our lives are to be lived out in humble, reverent worship of our Creator. More than a song, worship is a whole life response to the love of Jesus.

SERVICE
2ND VALUE

Our Second value is loving and serving others. If we submit our heart to God and serve Him, then we love and serve all those made in His image with the gifts abilities God has blessed us with. Our hearts must always be ready to serve God and serve others from the outflow of who God has made us to be.

SHARING THE GOSPEL
3RD VALUE

Our third value is that we are people who go and make disciples. As we are worship God, and show His love to others, then we will have opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus with the world around us, our families, our friends, and beyond.

BAPTISM
4TH VALUE

Our fourth value is Baptism. Jesus commands us to baptize and be baptized, but why? Romans 6 tells us that Baptism is the symbol that in Christ, we have put to death our own sinful nature and are raised up in new life. This outward sign gives voice to the inward truth of reconciliation with God through Christ Jesus.

GOD ABOVE ALL
5TH VALUE

Finally, our fifth value, know Jesus more. Jesus gave us the Bible as instruction for life and spiritual food and through it we learn who God is. By studying it we come to know Him more, and from there we can not only learn to be the people Jesus calls us to be, but we are empowered to do what He has called us to do.
